A couple weeks ago I was working on the weekend and Jason took the girls to an event in Fredericksburg called Via Colori. Here's what a local arts organization has to say about the event:
"Every September, Fredericksburg's Riverfront Park and surrounding downtown streets come alive with entertainment, an artist’s market, children’s activities and hundreds of local artists painting our city streets during Fredericksburg’s annual street painting festival –Via Colori®.
Via Colori® is the modern day version of a centuries-old tradition in which dozens of volunteer artists create large scale pastel artworks directly on the pavement of our city's streets. Proceeds from the festival will help defray lab, medications, and other similar fees for Community Health Center of the Rappahannock Region's uninsured patients, as well as benefit arts education programs in the region."

It is a good thing Jason had the girls there on Saturday, the first day of the two-day event. Saturday night it rained in Fredericksburg, the artists' work was washed away, and the event was cancelled for the rest of the weekend.
Jason sent me this photo while I was at work and I thought that was blood on Elise's forehead. No worries, just paint! |

Even with all the art and fun to be had at Via Colori, they may have had the most fun this day rolling down the hill by the river. See a video here: girls rolling down a hill.
