Candids and Extra Wedding Pictures

I don't always love technology, but I do love that I could download everyone's photos from the wedding and see all the candid and extra photos they took.  It is fun to see a different perspective and see what was going on "behind the scenes."

All those beautiful pictures taken by the photographer?  This is what it looked like behind the camera, getting everyone organized...

Some photos from the amateur photographers in attendance...
My mom and dad with Jason's aunt, Jan.
Elise with Jason's nephew (now her cousin!), Kayden.
Jason and my cousin, Chad.

I don't know which of the amateurs took these, but they are good!

When people asked what kind of wedding we were having, I told them we were basically having a party at our house, were going to pause for five minutes to get married, then continue the party, and that's pretty much what happened.  To start, we had some appetizers and drinks for people when they arrived and we all just hung out for a while.

I learned how to make homemade buttermilk biscuits just for this!

At 3:00 we said something like "ok, everybody outside!"  People stood where they were most comfortable and waited for the "official" part to begin...

Here we go!
I think the wedding officiant asked me if there was going to
be a procession of any kind.  Nope, let's just get up there!
We did not have any attendants, the girls stood up with us
and held the rings.

I like this picture of the professional photographer
and one of the amateurs taking pictures
during the ceremony.

I love Elise's reaction here.

After the ceremony there was lots of picture taking...
and lots of hugging :)
Working on getting everyone together...
so Fritzi can get the group shot from above.  It is so great to
have a picture with everyone.
After the ceremony, back inside for more eating and merriment!
Pretty much everyone who attended
our wedding came in from out of state,
so we decided to treat them to some
food with a southern flavor.

No fancy wedding cake, just really delicious ones.

The girls eventually changed clothes to be more comfortable...

Anja with Hazel, our friends' daughter.
Every time these cousins get together we get a photo of them.
This one is pretty special since we now live far apart and the
times we see them are fewer.

The end of a great day
Notice how I am much shorter in this picture?
The heels came off at some point after
the ceremony, in the name of comfort.

And that, folks, is the end of the wedding photos as far as I know.  It was a beautiful, special day filled with laughs and love, which makes for very good memories.
