Horse Life

The girls started riding here about a year ago, I started some time after the first of the year, and we are all happy about the pleasures this pastime has added to our lives.  Anja rides occasionally, mostly she likes to get on and walk around.  What she loves is just being around the horses.  She likes to groom and pick out their feet, and hang around the barn and the pastures. 

 She and Elise know the name of every horse on the farm and have strong opinions about what they each like and don't like and how each horse is feeling.

Elise and I ride every week when our schedules and the weather allow.  I think we've both made a lot of improvements.  We've both started to jump very low jumps, which is a LOT harder than it looks, but the challenge is fun and spending time outside feels wonderful.
