Aah, spring!

Yay! Spring has sprung!!! One thing I love about the climate up here is how quickly winter is over. One weeekend there was several inches of snow on the ground, and two weeks later we have 60 degree weather, short sleeves and sunshine! It makes everyone so much happier.

Easter Eggs with Friends

Last weekend we had the great pleasure of seeing our special friends Lori and Ashley (and baby Sam) who were home for a visit. Elise and Ashley are very close in age. We got together to decorate Easter eggs and had a great time. Special thanks to "Grandma Jane" for the bunny pancakes that morning at her house!

Elise's Fifth Birthday

We celebrated Elise's fifth birthday with an "under the sea" party. Lots of people came, we all had a great time!
Elise was very specific about what the cake should look like, so I did my best (I'm soooo thankful for the internet!)

Preschool Sledding Party

In February, Elise's preschool class celebrated Valentine's Day by going sledding. I volunteered to chaperone. Fortunately it was a gorgeous winter day.

The kids looked so cute all lined up and ready to go (Elise is all in pink on the left)... I think the idea of riding the bus was as exciting to Elise as the actual sledding.
