Scout Update

This past May we adopted our dog, Scout, from the local SPCA.  She was about one year old, and had been removed by authorities from a hoarding situation, where there were about 10 dogs in the backyard with no real human interaction.  She was so timid when we first got her that we couldn't touch her and she hid in corners and under furniture.
The day we brought home Scout, she was so scared she wouldn't
walk on the leash, we had to carry her everywhere.
Now, almost 6 months later, Scout is a very different dog.  She has a lot more confidence around us, runs around, and acts like a normal dog most of the time.  Around other people she is still pretty timid, and does not let strangers pet her.  She walks very well on the leash now, but if anyone outside the family tries to walk up to her she barks at them.  Scout is a total cuddle bug now, she loves snuggling in to take a nap.

When the girls and I went to Salt Lake City over the summer, the girls missed Scout very much, so Jason sent a picture of her every day, dressed up in what Jason called a "Scoutfit."  I really, really dislike animals wearing clothes, but these are pretty cute (can you tell how much she dislikes having the clothes on her, though?).
